Have You Lost Your Mind??


Woke up nice and early this morning and very confused!?

There was this big, yellow, warm thing in the sky.. I think it’s called the sun!

Anyway it put me in great form; I hope you enjoyed it too!

I went up to a local café, Mocha Beans, for a coffee with our Yoga instructor Molly.

Every time I meet her she blows me away. Her take on life is fascinating. If you see her about the Studio, usually on a Tuesday or Thursday, make sure you stop for a chat.

She’s really good at what she does too, I learn every time I speak to her.

I talked myself into signing up for 4 weeks of her Yoga class!

I’ve been meaning to sign up for Molly’s Yoga class since she started with us but I’ve been putting it off and putting it off.

I’ve done some Yoga but only every at home, from a DVD!

As I signed up I started to understand how our members must feel when they sign up for one of our classes. It’s daunting isn’t it?

I’ve never been to a Yoga class. I don’t know will I be able to do it. I don’t know if I’ll be flexibly enough for it. The people that have been doing it are probably really good now. Will I be able to keep up?

Man, it’s daunting and I’m in this industry!

I have met Molly and I know the kind of person she is, I know, no matter what kind of level I am at, she will coach me to push myself outside my comfort zone, to get me to a better level and improve my life.

But my mind was still hesitant!

I thought, have I lost my mind??

I want that!

To be pushed out of my comfort zone and challenged on something I don’t really know a lot about.

To feel fitter, happier and more confident.

Until you control your mind and take action for your health, until you step outside your comfort zone and do something that you fear, you will never grow.

You should do one thing every day that you fear.

We have new people start at Functional Fitness all the time. It’s not the training about how to make money? In our Semi- Private training and in our classes. Most people think before joining us that they won’t be able to keep up. That they will be the most unfit person there, they wouldn’t be able to commit.

All the same fears as I have about starting Molly’s Yoga class, but until I step outside of my comfort zone and grow, I won’t know.

And until you step outside your comfort zone, you won’t know either.

AND it’s not as bad as either of us think!

If you would like to find out what we do at Functional Fitness, we have a seminar on Wednesday 22nd at 8pm called “What should I eat?” in our studio. We’ve already had 20 sign ups of new people who want to attend the seminar. These people have stepped outside their comfort zones. Some of them have never trained with us before, some of them have never stepped inside our studio. However they have taken action on their health. These people have stepped outside their comfort zone in an effort to improve their lives.
